Review of the Bang & Olufsen App

Clean Design and Ease of Use

The Bang & Olufsen app has a very clean design and is easy to use. The interface is intuitive, and it is easy to navigate through the app. The app looks very stylish with beautiful product images within. It is refreshing to see an app with such a clean design, and it is something that more apps should strive for.

Streaming Music Providers

One downside to the app is that it could do with more streaming music providers. However, this is something that you know before buying a B&O product. If you are looking for a product that is compatible with a specific streaming music provider, it is important to do your research before purchasing a B&O product.

Connection with Beoplay EQ

The connection with Beoplay EQ becomes a lot better in recent updates. The app connects to Beoplay EQ almost instantly after opening the app, which is a great improvement.

Synching Two Beosound Gen 2 Speakers

After several restarts and removing all products from the app's storage, I was able to reinstall everything to synch two Beosound Gen 2 speakers together in stereo. This was a bit of a hassle, but it was ultimately successful.

Location Service

In order for the app to find your headphones, you have to have the location service "allowed." This is something to keep in mind when setting up your headphones.

EX Connection

Had big problems adding my EX to my account and finding it. Reinstalled the app, allowed all location stuff and now it worked. This was a frustrating experience, but ultimately it was resolved.

Customer Service

I recently wrote a review saying that I couldn't use some features on the app. I spoke to B&O customer service who were very helpful and helped me resolve the issue so I am now able to enjoy the earbuds and use all the features. I also like the fact that B&O responded to my previous review within a day offering help to resolve the problem. It shows a level of professionalism and customer care that you don't always see from some companies. As a result, I feel that they deserve the full 5 stars.

Sound Quality

There is nothing like B&O. I own Bose wave guide 4, Bose companion 50, Revolve plus, Woburn 2, Yamaha wxc 50 but B&O without any audio conditioning sounds majestically beautiful. The quality and sound quality, plus the design with the metal case and being waterproof is definitely like military grade.

Customizations

This app is a comprehensive solution for the entire B&O family and allows for simple, easy to recall customizations for their products. The presets work well, and the app is very intuitive.

Constant Improvements

The app has matured over time, and the best part is B&O's constant updates with their commitment to improvement. The ongoing improvements are excellent, and the app continues to get better with each update.

EQ

Best app I've used for audio! I LOVE the EQ. The emphasis on higher frequencies is bright, and the all frequencies with a more neutral filter are relaxed.

Minor Annoyance

Would appreciate that if I dismiss the software update message for my H95s, it would never reappear - the only minor annoyance I have with this app.

Overall

Overall, the Bang & Olufsen app is easy to load with all set up features that you would normally expect from Bang Olufsen. It is a pleasure to use, and I give it 5 stars. The app works well with the products, and the product update procedures can be a bit confusing, but ultimately it is a well-designed app.
